When something goes wrong, we diagnose it right the first time: broken heads, leaky valves, chewed wires, controller failures and mainline breaks.
A spring startup is more than turning a valve. We charge the system slowly to avoid water hammer, walk every zone, check head rotation and arc, look for sunken or tilted heads, and set a controller schedule that matches the season instead of leaving last year's program running. Small coverage problems caught in April are the dry patches you never see in July.
Winterization matters just as much in this climate. Kansas City freezes hard enough to split a mainline, and water left in a lateral will crack heads and fittings. We blow lines out with compressed air zone by zone before the first sustained freeze, then close the system down properly.

When should I winterize my sprinkler system in Kansas City?
Before the first sustained freeze — typically late October into mid-November. Waiting for a hard freeze risks cracked heads, split laterals and broken backflow components.
How much should I water my lawn?
About one to one and a half inches per week during the growing season, delivered in two or three deep soakings rather than daily light watering. Deep, infrequent cycles push roots down.
What time of day is best to run the sprinklers?
Early morning, usually between 4 and 8 a.m. Wind is low, evaporation is minimal, and the blades dry quickly, which limits disease pressure.
Why is one zone not coming on?
Usually a failed solenoid, a wiring break, or a controller output problem. We test the zone at the valve and at the controller to isolate it rather than guessing.
Do you work on systems you didn't install?
Yes. We service all major brands and controllers, including systems installed years ago by another company.
